Things have been moving slow, as nearly every member of RAG is in the process of moving. Luckily, we've been planning ahead for when everyone is settled. Project Sketchbook has begun, with several dozen sketchbooks already in the hands of artists around town, and many more to be mailed THIS WEEK. Also, Memphis College of Art has been kind enough to sponsor our endeavor! The final exhibition will take place, tenatively, at the end of July at MCA's On the Street Gallery on S. Main. You can read about what Project Sketchbook is on our Events page, and find out when & where to get one on our Get Involved! page.
Also, we're in the process of planning something spectacular to celebrate Independence Day. Think lights. A lot of lights. More to come on that soon.
& Finally, Rozelle has gotten with the times, and now has a Twitter. You can follow us at twitter.com/rozelleartists.

It's time for a change! Rozelle is making a lot of changes right now, including our mission statement, membership application process, proposal methods, meeting systems, & our identity. We're breaking for Midterms/Spring Break, but will be starting full force starting at the meeting on March 22nd with a few exciting upcoming projects. Appropriately, we've changed up the look of the website, and have several MCA Graphic Design students working on new variations of our logo. Keep your ear to the ground for RAG events in the near future. And, if you're on Facebook, add us to get an extra reminder for events & meetings. The benefit for the Edge Coffehouse was a good success. We were able to hand Frank over $200 by the end of the night in donations and art sales, got a nice-looking mural started, and filled the place with newcomers, that'll hopefully turn into a new crowd of regulars. Make sure to come out this Friday to Five In One, 423 N. Watkins, from 8-11PM for the Memphis Minis silent art auction, featuring work by many artists from Rozelle Artists Guild. Free to come, $2 to bid!

Our Electric New Year's Eve Spectacular was a huge success thanks to the bands that played for free, our volunteers, and the awesome guys at the P&H. Rozelle Artists Guild raised over $1,800 in one night, and painted a pretty badass mural on the back parking lot's side wall. The party was so overpacked that the hookah tent had to be dismantled before midnight, and volunteers had to close off the doors for nearly two hours. Check out photos from the night on our flickr. Our next event is an art/music fundraiser to benefit the Edge Coffeehouse in Midtown. Stay tuned!

We've just finalized the line up for our New Year's Eve Spectacular hosted at the P&H Cafe on Madison Avenue. In addition to bands, we'll have an interactive paint-by-number mural, hookah tent, jello shots, and a midnight champagne toast. We'll need a lot of help preparing the venue on the day of, and running the event that night. If you're interested in volunteering, let us know! Only volunteers get into the party for free, and we'll make sure you're not stuck working all night.

Our prospective investor, Kristi Duckworth, has unfortunately found another more reasonable space, and will not be purchasing the property at 822 Rozelle, our headquarters since inception. We have decided as a group that although we are in need of a large space to accommodate our goals, 822 Rozelle Street has been too much of a hindrance in our progression toward our goal. To commemorate the last days in the warehouse, we had planned one last fundraiser, however, the locks were changed by the owner on Friday in preparation for auction. We are continuing to look for a new base of operations.
